I am a futurist and systems thinker who has spent much of my career inside government.

For nearly twenty years I have worked inside public institutions on foresight, innovation policy and strategic analysis, currently as Deputy Minister of Innovation and Digital Transformation of Bulgaria. That position lets me look at the future from two places at once: the 2050 horizon and the inside of an institution.

What I have learned is that the future is not a trend. It is a system: interconnected, layered, held together by weak links that stay invisible until they break. Our institutions were built for a more linear world. My work is about understanding what happens when that institutional architecture meets accelerating technological change.

Two ideas sit at the center of that work. Single points of failure are a diagnostic lens for finding the weak links that can collapse a whole system. Gyroscopic governance is a way of thinking about institutions that remain steady in their values while adapting quickly in their methods.

Around those two ideas I keep exploring the fringe, where the future first appears as signals that still look useless, and the vertical economy, the shift of economic activity into new layers: orbit, energy, data and intelligence. Convergence, resilience and the asymmetries technology creates between small and large players are threads I keep returning to.

Together they form a practice: look early, map dependencies, understand the second-order effects, and build institutions strong enough to adapt.​

I am a member of the Association of Professional Futurists, the Global Futures Society by the Dubai Future Foundation, the World Economic Forum's Global Foresight Network, the Foresight Europe Network, and a participant in the OECD Government Foresight Community.
